- about unified
This section explains the size of the unified screw (inch screw) or the notation in the price list. As an example, here is the price list for the pan head screw (unified standard).
Size (nominal diameter, number of threads)・・・ ①
The number with # indicates the nominal diameter of the screw, and the number after the hyphen indicates the number of threads (pitch) per inch.
See the table below for commonly used screw sizes. The nominal size handled by our company is from # 0 to # 10.
The number of therads are per an inch. For example ...
At 56, the pitch is 1in / 56 = 0.0179in ( 25.4mm / 56 = 0.4536mm )
L: Length under neck (Total length of Flat head screw)・・・ ②
The dimension "L" (length under neck/ total length of flat head screw) is displayed in fractions. This notation expresses the length of the unified screw, and when converted to metric notation, it is obtained by multiplying 1 inch by that fraction.
For example, in the case of 1/8, 1in × 1/8 = 0.125in ( 25.4mm × 1/8 = 3.175mm ).
Screw model ID (number) ・・・ ③ ④
Here, the model number of the screw is determined by such rules as "U (unify) + material + head shape + nominal diameter (pitch) + length".
